LEARN TO SPIN ON A SPINNING WHEEL
Two-session class: Thursdays, October 15 and October 22 from 6:30-8:30pm
With hands-on-instruction, you will learn how to work a spinning wheel, which fibers to choose for beginning spinners and how to spin. By the end of the two week session, you will have a skein of yarn and have a great foundation to start your spinning journey.
If you have a spinning wheel (in good working order), you can use it. Otherwise, we have wheels to use. You will be able to use our wheels during class and also bring one home for the week in between the classes (with a credit card on file).
WEEK 1: Getting to know your wheel, selecting fibers for beginners, learning how to draft your fiber and manage your spinning process.
WEEK 2:
Review your spinning and troubleshoot any challenges. The basics of twist, S-twist and Z-twist and learn to ply.
About your instructor: Ana Micka
Ana is the founder of Bella's Flock. Her flock of Icelandic sheep inspired her fiber arts passion and spinning is her absolute favorite!

Class fees: $80 plus $35 for materials
