Wet Felted Hat - January 6

DESIGN AND MAKE A WET FELTED HAT

Saturday, January 6, 12-5:30pm *Note this is a 5½ hour class*

Use soap, water, and friction to transform loose wool fibers into a simple cloche hat of your own design. Your completed project will go home damp and ready to air dry overnight.

This is an intermediate wet felting project. It is recommended that students have already take at least one beginner wet felting class (Felted bowl, Art Felt Fabric, or Wet Felted Flowers) or have other prior wet felting experience.

Please bring a bath towel and consider wearing short sleeves or sleeves that easily stay pushed up! We will get wet!

About your instructor: Angela Bengtson enjoys playing with a range of textile arts. Her favorite is weaving on a variety of small looms with her own hand-spun and hand-dyed yarns.

Class fees: $60 plus $25 for materials (choose your own colors)
