LEARN BASIC WET FELTING TECHNIQUES
Thursday, January 2, 10am-12:30pm
Use soap, water, and friction to transform loose wool fibers into a unique artistic piece of flat felt, while sampling a variety of embellishment fibers. Your completed piece of fabric (approximately 8x10”) will go home damp and ready to air dry overnight and then can be framed or cut and sewn or glued into any fabric or paper craft projects (stop in the store to see a few ideas). This class is an ideal first wet felting class, or to build on skills learned in any of our other beginning wet felting classes (Wet Felted Flowers or Wet Felted Bowl).
Children under 12 need an adult present, and a one-on-one helper is recommended for children under 8. Please "add a note to your order" to let us know when you are registering a child with a helper so that we can allow extra space.
Please bring a bath towel and consider wearing short sleeves or sleeves that easily stay pushed up! We will get wet!
Besides working at Bella's Flock, Angela enjoys playing with a range of textile arts. Her favorite is weaving on a variety of small looms with her own hand-spun and hand-dyed yarns.
Class fees: $24 plus $12 for materials (choose your own colors)
Reserve your spot by paying the class fee. Materials fee paid at the end of the class.
Class is held at Bella's Flock store and studio, 11 Division Street East in Buffalo, MN.
